Join us to volunteer for the 10th Annual Laps for Charity benefiting the Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities. NASCAR fans and car enthusiasts will have the opportunity to drive their personal vehicles around the 1.5-mile super speedway at speeds up to 75 miles per hour (behind a pace car), all in an effort to raise money for local children’s charities. Experience the thrill of a lifetime by driving your car, truck, motorcycle or other street-legal vehicle on the same track as your favorite NASCAR drivers!
Volunteer opportunities for LAPS FOR CHARITY (ALL VOLUNTEERS GET THREE FREE LAPS AROUND THE TRACK AFTER THEIR SHIFT!)
VOLUNTEER SHIFTS TO SELECT FROM:
6:30 a.m. - Noon
11:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
v Volunteers will assist in registering participants, assisting our photographers in Victory Lane and handing out goodies after vehicles come off the track, etc.
v Volunteers should be age 16 and older, but I can make a few exceptions for 14-15-year-olds.
*Volunteers will receive complimentary snacks and beverages throughout the day*

Mission Statement
The mission of Speedway Children's Charities remains true to the ideals it was founded upon in 1982: To care for children in educational, financial, social and medical need in order to help them lead productive lives. SCC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and provides funding for hundreds of non-profit organizations throughout the nation that meet the direct needs of children. Our vision is that every child has the same opportunities no matter what obstacle they are facing.
Description
Since its inception in 1999, Speedway Children's Charities has granted more than $2.5 million to local children’s causes throughout Southern Nevada. Grants are given to a variety of organizations and most likely have touched the life of someone you know. These funds were raised by the generous support of the racing, corporate and local communities.
Operating as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities is governed by a board of local trustees whose sole purpose is to distribute the funds raised each year to qualified local children's-based charitable organizations.
