We are looking for skilled medical professionals to volunteer with us! The Thurston County Medical Reserve Corps provides the community with valuable and necessary support in the event of a disaster or public health emergency but also year-round through community events.

Medical professionals at these events provide medical screening, administer vaccinations, and provide treatment and triage services, to name a few.

Volunteers have access to a variety of trainings and educational opportunities as well.

Description

Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a community-based volunteer program that strengthens and expands the local public health system's response during a health emergency or disaster. Members include medical and non-medical professionals who contribute their unique skills and expertise to prepare for and respond to health emergencies. The Thurston County MRC is one of over 1,000 nationally recognized Medical Reserve Corps units.

Thurston County MRC members have assisted in a range of health emergencies that include response to local flooding, H1N1 influenza pandemic and state pertussis outbreak.
