WE WILL NOT BE OFFERING MLK DAY CAMP THIS YEAR, OFERING INSTEAD A MLK DAY OPEN HOUSE, 10 AM TO NOON. VOLUNTEERS ARE WELCOME 9 AM TO 3 PM. THANKS.
Horses4Heroes is looking for fun-loving, responsible teens and young adults to volunteer for camp counselor positions throughout the year. We look for counselors that are good with kids and have skills in a variety of sports, horses, arts & crafts, theater arts, CPR, Life Guard, and other camp games and activities.
This is a great way to get a jump start on community service hours for school, church or clubs and the experience looks GREAT on your resume for college or work. The role of a counselor is to facilitate the camp experience for our campers, ages 5 to 13. Upcoming day camps are MLK Day, January 16 and President's Day, February 20. Our mission is to make horseback riding affordable for, and accessible to those in our community whose Call of Duty is to protect and serve, including Active Duty service members, veterans, First Responders, school teachers, nurses and their families. We also serve veterans with PTS/MST/TBI, domestic violence victims, recovering addicts, at-risk youth and others who need a hand up, not a hand out.l
Description
Las Vegas-based Horses4Heroes is the only national non-profit that owns its own horses and uses those horses every day in programs to empower, engage, inspire, educate and enterain. The non-profit operates the Horses4Heroes Community Equestrian Center, located within historic Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs. Here we give lessons, hold camps, host birthday parties, special events, Girl Scouts and more. We serve all ages from 2 to adult.
