Walk to Cure Arthritis Event Volunteer Descriptions

1. Set-Up: Assist staff in transporting items to event site, unloading from cars, and setting event up.
2. Registration:Check attendees in as they approach booth and hand out shirts to specific participants. Collect revenue if given. Distribute route and event schedule. Assist with other event sign-ups. Thank everyone for coming and point out Warrior Zone to attendees as well as Kids Zone.

• Food Table:Prepare food and condiments as necessary. Provide attendees with desired food as they approach the table. Oversee usage and manage quantity. Keep tables clean.

1. Beverage Table:Provide desired drinks for attendees as they approach.
2. Beer Garden: Check all ID’s of those wishing to drink and place wristband on participants. Stop providing alcohol once walk begins.
3. AF Mission & Advocacy Tables:Provide attendees with information about our mission and different resources available. Help answer any questions they might have.

• Warrior Zone:Make Arthritis Warriors feel special as they enter the Warrior Tent. Engage with them and see what color necklace they need (based on given chart). Thank them for coming. Explain Warrior Wall and have them write on it or sign it.
• Kids Zone:Assist with different field games for children. Participate in crafts with children to keep them occupied.

1. Clean Up:Stay after the event to help clean up the area and pack items away and into cars.
