Tables

Locate # donated tables for walk day

*Coordinate delivery for pre-Walk and pick up for post-Walk

Chairs

Locate # donated chairs for walk day

*Coordinate delivery for pre-Walk and pick up for post-Walk

Tents

Locate # tents (10x10) and one big event tent for stage

Emergency Personnel

Contact and confirm Emergency Personnel for walk day (Red Cross, EMS, police, etc.)

Restrooms

Secure donated Port-a-Johns for walk

(1 per 100 walkers, 1 handicapped) *Coordinate delivery for pre-Walk and pick up for post-Walk

Coolers

Borrow large coolers for water stations (i.e. fishing coolers, borrowed Pepsi/Coke tub)

Golf Carts

Locate 2 donated golf carts. Locate handicapped accessible van to transport ALS patients mid walk if needed.

Trash Cans

Locate at least 1 trash can per 100 walkers expected (assess site and how many are provided.)

Walk Day Duties Set up/ Clean up

Supervise set up and clean up of tables, chairs, Port-a-Johns, tents, etc.

Water Station

Supervise set up of route water stations with help of volunteers

Directional Signs

Supervise set up of route directional signs with help of volunteers

Delivery

Supervise and coordinate delivery of donated items (golf carts, coolers, etc)

Emergency Personnel

Greet and direct emergency personnel. Set up table for EP.

* Donations are always preferred. However, if items need to be purchased please work with the ALSA Chapter Walk Staff to determine the budget for a particular item.

The ALS Association Evergreen Chapter offers comprehensive support for persons diagnosed with ALS, their families and caregivers cope with the day to day challenges of living with ALS by providing information, resources, and referrals to many sources.

Our Chapter's goal is to offer hope and support in all areas we serve - Washington, Idaho, Montana & Alaska.
