Lantern Community Services is an organization that champions the independence and well-being of New Yorkers who are formerly homeless or have recently aged out of foster care through supportive housing. Our programs - which have proven results in health, employment, education and life skills - are delivered inside our residences and tailored to each person’s needs.

In our residences with families, we host weekly art classes for the children. In the class, children are able to complete a number of art projects with the help of our art therapist who helps design activities that allow the children to express themselves. We are currently looking for a volunteer who can help out during the class setting up supplies, helping the kids complete their projects, and assisting clean up. The class runs on Mondays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

Send us a message if you're interested and we can really use your help!
