If you have a passion for working with the SLO County Nonprofit Community, Spokes Resources for Nonprofits has an opportunity for you!

Spokes Resources for Nonprofits is currently seeking a Part-time Volunteer for 10+ hours per week! As a Volunteer you will learn how we serve our members and member organizations and will receive expert training and support.

Since 1996, our organization has strived to provide solutions, service and support for nonprofit organizations throughout the Central Coast. Spokes is inspired by a vision of a united and effective nonprofit sector powered by proficient leaders.

Spokes helps nonprofits do more good work and do good work better. We’re here to support nonprofit organizations. We help turn strong ideas, diligent efforts and generous support into more effective, efficient actions that bring better results and bigger benefits to our community. Our offerings include consulting services , training workshops and events , and other resources.

What can you expect as a Volunteer?

• Enjoy being part of Team oriented environment
• Receive mentoring by Team Members
• Join in Team Activities and Community events

Work hands-on to assist Spokes Team with:

• Event Facilitation & Planning
• Outreach
• General Administrative Tasks

What requirements do you need to for this opportunity?

• Experience in Business, Nonprofit Management, Marketing & Communications or Leadership & Development
• Experience with Event Facilitation or Event Planning or Community Outreach
• Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week
• Member-centered commitment and focus
• Ability to meet critical deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks
• Team-oriented with the desire and ability to establish cooperative working relationships with employees at all levels within Spokes, outside of Spokes, and with Spokes members
• Ability to learn new concepts related to Spokes programs
• Ability to communicate effectively, cooperatively and persuasively (written and verbal communication)
• Ability to treat all staff and Spokes staff, Board members and Spokes members with respect and dignity
