During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Puppy raisers help us to shape young puppies into future assistance dogs by building a strong foundation before coming back into the program. Raisers help us by providing a loving home environment , educational public outings, exposure to a multitude of stimuli, and teaching basic obedience and good manners. Our Puppy Raisers typically have the puppy from 10 weeks to 14 months before the dog enters professional training to become an assistance dog where they learn life-changing skills for the people who need them. Our raisers are provided with training classes and have support all along the way!

Dogs for Better Lives' mission is to professionally train dogs to help people and enhance lives while maintaining a lifelong commitment to all dogs we rescue or breed and the people we serve.
Dogs for Better Lives professionally trains dogs to become Hearing Assistance Dogs, Facility Dogs, and Autism Assistance Dogs. We do this at a minimal cost of an application fee to the client.
Dogs for Better Lives travels to the client for an interview. Following the application process the dog is delivered to the client by the Certified Assistance Dog Trainer that trained the dog. The Trainer spends several days supporting the client in their daily activities with their new Assistance dog.
Dogs for Better Lives maintains a lifelong commitment to our clients and dogs!
We'll work with your schedule.
