ALL VOLUNTEER VISITS WITH OUR RESIDENTS HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED DUE TO SHELTER IN PLACE ORDER BY STATE OF OHIO.

HOWEVER; WE ARE NOW ALLOWED TO BEGIN THE INTERVIEW PROCESS, START PAPERWORK AND COMPLETE FINGERPRINTS, URINE DRUG SCREEN AND TB TESTING. IF WE CAN COMPLETE THIS PROCESS, YOU WILL BE READY TO START VISITING ONCE THE RESTRICTIONS HAVE BEEN LIFTED WHICH WE HOPE WILL BE VERY SOON. I WOULD LOVE TO MEET WITH YOU TO BEGIN THE PROCESS

OUR RESIDENTS ARE LONELY AND ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF LOVE THROUGH CARDS/LETTERS. YOU CAN STILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND THIS COULD BE A GREAT FAMILY ACTIVITY!!! Brookdale Hospice in Springdale is looking for volunteers to visit with our residents in Hospice. We have many for you to choose from. Please let me tell you about one of our residents at the Springdale location. She is 97! She has a cat that she adores (the cat hides when you come into her room). She will talk and talk and is so sad when you leave! What a difference you could make in her life by letting her talk with you!

We look for an hour a week. This time is spent visiting with the resident, hearing their story, playing a game, reading a book, playing music for them on your phone or simply holding their hand! Some of our residents do not have any visitors at all. You can bring so much joy to someone who is lonely. It's like visiting with Grandma or Grandpa.

We do require fingerprints, urine drug screen and tb testing but we pay for everything. I will make it as easy as possible for you.

Please consider bringing some joy to someone who is simply lonely. You could make a new friend!
