Community Hospice

Community Hospice Volunteer Services gives you a chance to make a difference in someones life and also your own! Become a Volunteer, you will be a special and necessary part of the Hospice team. If you are caring, open and accepting of life but also comfortable with talking about death and dying, has the understanding of the challenges that hospice patients and their families face when confronted with a terminal illness. Also, has the ability to listen, provide support while being confidential, trusting and models intergity, then you have all the requirements needed to be a hospice volunteer.

We are currently looking for Volunteers in: Pet- therapy Certified Animals, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Nail/Hair Tech, Fundraiser Committee, Patient and Facility visits.

Our Legacy: Community Hospice has local roots in every county we serve. We are an organization that was started by the community to serve the community. As one of the most respected non-profit hospice programs in teh state, Community Hospice has served our community for 30 years and served more than 10,000 patients and families.

Over the years we have expanded our service area and added satellite offices as well as a Hospice House to better serve our patients and families. We currently have offices in Tuscarawas, Stark, Carroll, Columbiana and Coshocton counties with our Hospice House located in New Philadelphia.

Our Doctors, nurses and other key staff members work with physicians throughout the community to provide exceptional care to patients. Community Hospice is a health care provider with 200 employees and over 550 volunteers... all dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate serive to seriously ill people and those who love them.

  • In-Services trainings (2) required each year.
