During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Heart to Heart Hospice is looking for compassionate individuals to spend time with our patients in their home (or various skilled nursing facilities as they reopen to visitors). We give our patients love and attention in the form of companionship which can include: talking, sharing, looking at photos, painting nails, sitting outside, playing music, reading, etc. We also have family members who need to run errands and are looking for someone to sit with their loved one for a 1-2 hour time frame.
Heart to Heart Hospice does require (and pay for) a TB test and background check, followed by a thorough orientation process to help you understand our mission as well as your role in the hospice care team. Then, we match our volunteers with patients near to them and set up visits between 1 - 4 times a month, depending on their needs and the volunteer’s availability. Due to the time and effort our company takes to train our volunteers, we are looking for people who are able to join our team and serve our patients in an ongoing capacity.
On occasion, Heart to Heart Hospice families may be looking for someone to sit with their loved one when the end is near and they are not able to be with the patient. This volunteer would be called when death appears imminent to stay at the patient's beside quietly for a period of time. It will take a special person who is comfortable with death and dying. However, the comfort it can provide for families is immense.1385 N. Baldwin, Marion, IN 46952, US
