Position Description


Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) is seeking a Volunteer Office Assistant to join our team. We are looking for passionate, driven individuals who desire to excel within an evolving organization. This position is a non-paid volunteer role to serve as a "Face of DSF" for all guests and support the clerical functions to build capacity for our DSF office based team.


May include but are not limited to:

  • Greet visitors with a warm welcome, notify DSF staff of visitor, and direct them appropriately
  • Answer the telephone in a professional and courteous manner direct calls and inquiries to the appropriate DSF staff
  • Assist in daily tasks as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer or Office Manager
  • Answer inquiries about DSF
  • Receive and relay messages for various staff
  • Provide other clerical support as assigned, which may include data entry, filing, research, document preparation or preparing mailings
  • Keep a professional reception area that is warm and welcoming while complying with DSF procedures, rules, and regulations


  • Passion for DSF’s mission and values
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Reliable, responsible, flexible, and punctual
  • Experience with Office 365 and Outlook
  • Preferred experience in office administration including with office equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills with complimenting experience
  • Availability during 9-5pm office hours for 3-5 hours at least 2 days a week

Application: 10-15 minutes

Phone Screening: 30 minutes

Interview with onsite supervisor: 1 hour

Background Check: 5 minutes

The Denver Scholarship Foundation was created in 2006 by private donors and community leaders to help Denver Public School students achieve their educational goals by providing students with guidance and financial support.

In addition to providing scholarships to Denver Public Schools graduates, the Denver Scholarship Foundation provides postsecondary guidance and resources through Future Centers and College and Financial Aid Advisors within DPS high schools.
