We need a highly organized, self-motivated, and outgoing volunteer to help us prepare and deliver Cook Play Live’s Bud Elementary School kids on Wednesdays or Thursdays from February 12 through March 12 from 2:45pm to 5:15pm

Where possible, we ask that you commit to multiple sessions as familiarity improves the experience for both volunteers and workshop participants.

You will:

• Engage with and direct elementary schoolers in various activities including meal preparation and nutrition discussions
• Work as a team with educators to prepare for and implement interactive cooking and healthy eating activities following a provided curriculum
• Set up food preparation and cooking equipment, supplies, and educational materials
• Maintain food safety, including cleaning and sanitation of all cooking equipment used in cooking activities

Our ideal volunteer has:

• Basic knife skills and ability to execute basic cooking techniques
• Awareness of healthy eating and basic nutrition knowledge
• Dynamic personality and excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and carrying heavy and bulky items
• Experience working with young children (aged 7-10 years) in a group setting is a plus!
