Prospect Riding Center

Prospect Riding Center has many year-round volunteer opportunities even if you have no experience with horses. Prospect Riding Center is one of the few places where volunteers have the opportunity to ride.

Barn Volunteers perform the following tasks (this list is not comprehensive):

  • Barn Chores - stall cleaning, equipment cleaning, etc.
  • Horse Handling - grooming, tacking up horses for riders, untacking at the end of a lesson, etc.
  • Arena Help - set up and breakdown for lessons, equipment cleaning, etc.

Description

Prospect Riding Center provides therapeutic and recreational horseback riding and activities. Individuals with special needs benefit from our therapeutic riding which offers a holistic approach by welcoming the rider's family and caregivers to participate. Our recreational riding is available to everyone in the community and helps to financially support our therapy programs.
