Autism Speaks is enhancing lives today and accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow. Our San Diego market is looking for volunteers to take on leadership roles in our committee. These opportunities include...
- Helping increase awareness, understanding, and a sense of community throughout the county through engagement and outreach events;
- Fundraising to support research, family services and advocacy efforts and serve as mentors to new participants;
- Planning and implementing the Autism Speaks San Diego and North County Walks through recruiting new teams and participants, soliciting in-kind donations, assisting with corporate, school, and media outreach, and serving as a volunteer lead on Walk day.
Hours and level of commitment throughout the year are flexible. Our busy season is in the fall when we host our San Diego Walk (October 10th) and North County Walk (November 14th in Oceanside).

The Autism Speaks Walk is our signature fundraising event. Autism Speaks Walk is powered by the love of parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, relatives and support providers for people with autism. With every step you take and every dollar you raise, you help enhance lives today and accelerate a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.
