Are you looking for a way to flex your administrative support skills while helping a high functioning team? The Red Cross Cascades Region Fundraising and Development department is looking for support volunteers to help with on-going projects. Our Fundraising and Development team work with individual donors and community partners to meet our financial needs among our various lines of service, including Blood Services, Disaster Services, Service to the Armed Forces, and International Services.
The mission of the Red Cross is to alleviate human suffering by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. This volunteer role completely embodies our mission and has the ability to affect all aspects of Red Cross services. With just a short time commitment per week, you can help our team grow their outreach, and in turn, help more community members in need.
Desired Qualifications:
- Comfort using computers and Microsoft Office suite
- Data Entry experience, or willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to learn databases
- Conduct research using on-line resources
- Desire to work behind the scenes in a high paced environment
Time Commitment:
- Minimum two hour commitment per week, for a 6-month period.
- Availability during business hours is preferred.
- Initial training will take place out of the Portland Red Cross office (3131 N. Vancouver Ave), but most projects will be able to be completed remotely. Work station will be provided at the office for regular volunteers.
