Doodle Dandy Rescue is looking for volunteers who would like to help with transport for our rescue. We have fosters from all points in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex and often need to get supplies, medicines or dogs from one place to another in the area. We have a storage building in central Dallas where we store our extra supplies, so we would need people who can get things from the storage building and deliver them to new fosters homes.
We sometimes need help getting dogs to and from their vet appointments. Vets are located in Richardson, Ft. Worth, Southlake, Carrollton and Desoto. We do try to have the dogs within a 20 minute drive of their vet. We will provide gas money to defray the costs of transport.
We also need transport help from other Texas cities to Dallas. These trips are usually broken up into 2-3 legs, so if you're on the way to Houston, San Antonio or Austin areas and would be willing to drive part way to Dallas, we'd appreciate that too.
We are also looking for people to pick up dogs from the shelters that have been released to us, and deliver them to the groomer or foster.

Description
Doodle Dandy Rescue i rescues doodles, curlies and fluffies from Texas shelters and provides a foster -based placement until a forever home can be found. We provide all supplies, medical vetting and necessary training to our dogs and fosters. Our Doodle Dandy Village stays connected via an online app where our leadership team interacts with our fosters and volunteers about the dogs in our care. We adopt our dogs within a 5 hour radius of Dallas / Ft. Worth.
