We support the growing community of scientists, academics, nonprofits, regulators, legislators, concerned citizens and for-profit companies working to turn around climate change, Some of the volunteer work is to find email and other contact information for more of these people and groups so we can invite them to join, share ideas and support each other in this crucial task.
Your work may involve internet search, phone calls, email and entering this information into the database. You will need access to a computer (laptop or desktop) and to be capable of internet search and email, phones, and hopefully some simple use of Excel.
The work can be done at home once we've discussed it, and then we would email, speak on the phone, or meet in person to see how things are going for you.
Eventually we will organize an annual convention for this community and there will be volunteer opportunities for that as well, helping organize things for the convention.

Description
We are a small nonprofit, just starting out. We are working to create forums for sharing ideas and strategies to fight climate change. So far these forums have been started on our website, on LinkedIn and Facebook. Our goal is to create outreach to people working to slow down (even turn around!) climate change so they can begin sharing ideas - what works, what doesn't seem to be working - so they can be more effective in this very important work. There are many great organizations, researchers, etc working on these issues but there is not good communication between the various groups - whether in government, in various academic departments and institutions, in different nonprofits. So this organization is designed to bridge these gaps and make all our efforts more effective.
