Promoting sustainability and social entrepreneurship across Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, NJ, Yonkers, and Long Island, the effort to help homeowners participate connects with families from all backgrounds, and being able to welcome more people to be a part of this mission would be amazing.
Bilingual support is greatly needed. While some families from all cultures have already installed solar panels to receive the savings and tax credits for helping offset their electrical usage on the grid, community engagement and understanding will be furthered with more local bilingual interpreter liaisons in Bensonhurst, Sheepshead Bay, Flushing, Elmhurst, Whitestone, Bayside, and more neighborhoods elsewhere.
Volunteers receive a welcome phone call, direct communication access for staff assistance, and $750 referral bonuses, and new employees of the full time staff are invited to attend a week long paid training, healthcare benefits, commissions, and incentives for their working helping others learn about how renewable energy and local infrastructure incentives will benefit them.
This is an opportunity for volunteers to work on their own pace, and utilize their own neighborhood network to promote solar panels by helping schedule consultations, and not working outside full time community canvassing and knocking doors 6 days a week. This is great for connecting with block associations too.
Homeowners get property tax abatement, income tax credit, and significantly lower electricity bill, at zero out of pocket cost to them.
