Mission Statement

Healthcare Allies of Massachusetts Corporation was established in 2019 because we believe that the LGBTQ+ community deserves access to healthcare providers who are welcoming and understand our needs. We realized that by researching and collaborating with doctors and mental health professionals we could create a resource to find a provider who is caring and informed. Because of this, we launched Healthcare Allies of Massachusetts Corporation to serve the LGBTQ+ community's healthcare needs.

Description

We started Healthcare Allies of Massachusetts Corporation to improve healthcare access for LGBTQ+ individuals in our own community. We are researching and creating an educational program for physicians and mental health professionals to educate them about the specific health needs of the LGBTQ+ community. After completing our education program, physicians and mental health providers are certified by us as healthcare allies of the LGBTQ+ community. They will sign a promise to uphold the highest standard of affirmative care based on the teachings of the educational program. By listing these health care providers on our website and creating a resource where you can find a doctor or therapist who understands your unique needs, we are getting one step closer to reducing health disparities in our Massachusetts LGBTQ+ community.
