The Rose Garden branch of the San Jose Public LIbrary is currently seeking volunteer shelvers to work 2-hour weekly shift with us. We are looking for one volunteer on Mondays and one volunteer on Wednesdays (time may be flexible).
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Organizing and displaying books and other library materials,
- Shelving selected materials,
- Assisting with other special projects or opportunities in the library.
The qualifications we are looking for are, as follows:
- Responsible and dependable
- Professional and courteous
- Able to file alphabetically/numerically
- Able to follow directions
- Able to work independently
If this is something that interests you, please feel free to reach out to and we can set up an interview date and time. Please note that should you become a Library Services Volunteer, you will first need to go through a fingerprinting process with the City of San Jose.
