ORGANIZATION: San Jose Public Library - Rose Garden Branch Library

The Rose Garden branch of the San Jose Public LIbrary is currently seeking volunteer shelvers to work 2-hour weekly shift with us. We are looking for one volunteer on Mondays and one volunteer on Wednesdays (time may be flexible).

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Organizing and displaying books and other library materials,
  • Shelving selected materials,
  • Assisting with other special projects or opportunities in the library.

The qualifications we are looking for are, as follows:

  • Responsible and dependable
  • Professional and courteous
  • Able to file alphabetically/numerically
  • Able to follow directions
  • Able to work independently

Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
