There will be 3600 high school students from 135 high schools in Massachusetts will be competing at the MA DECA State Conference in Boston. Judges will see about 15-20 students in role-play scenarios relating to DECA's career clusters in marketing, business administration, finance, hospitality management and/or entrepreneurship. A scoring evaluation is provided with the role-play. Students are hoping to qualify to attend the DECA International Conference in Orlando, Florida.

Description
DECA has been in Massachusetts high schools since 1957. Students attend leadership conferences in the fall and competitive conferences from December-March. Massachusetts DECA is the largest business association for high school students in New England and the Massachusetts DECA State Career Development Conference is the largest student conference held in Boston. with close to 4,000 attendees. Massachusetts DECA depends on the volunteerism of approximately 700 adults from industry to serve as judges at the district and state conferences each year.

REQUIREMENTS
- This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
- Must be at least 22
- We ask judges to choose one shift on either Feb. 27 or Feb. 28. You will need to commit to stay until the end of the shift, however, most shifts will finish earlier than stated.
- Anybody can judge as long as they have been int he work force for at least 5 years! Judges should arrive professionally dressed since our students have a professional dress code. MA DECA provides free parking, meals will be provided.
