House of Mercy Food Pantry is in need of some deliverers for our Mobile Food Pantry! Two times a month we deliver 25-45 bags of food to multiple Senior Apartment Complexes and we are in need of more volunteers to help us get them their food! We need YOU!
How it works is you will come to House of Mercy in Manassas, VA to pick up the bags two Thursday mornings out of the month. You will fill your vehicle (preferably a larger one) with all 25-45 grocery bags full of food, then you will deliver them to the Apartment Complex of that day. Once at the Apartment Complex you will have to unload your vehicle of the bags and bring them all inside, so their patrons may gather them. You will also have to stay for about 15 minutes to wait for and document whomever comes to receive their bag while you are still there. Everyone is to be treated with the same love and mercy Jesus would have treated them with! Then you are free to continue on with your day! There is no need to report back to House of Mercy afterwards unless of course you have the desire to volunteer more time here on site(which we would love and welcome!), or shop at our Thrift Store! Thank you so much for wanting to serve our local community through us!
