Goal of Role

To quickly guide children through the locker rooms as they prepare for and conclude swim lessons

Tasks and Activities

· Encourage children in the Make A Splash program to quickly change, shower, and stow their belongings in the lockers rooms

· Ensure children stay focused in the locker rooms and get to swim lessons and buses on time

· Role model the Y Values

Age requirement

18 or older

Length of commitment

March 2-17, Monday-Thursday

12:30-3pm

Qualifications and skills desired

· Loves children and has a desire to see them develop and grow

· Ability to communicate quickly and effectively in a patient and caring manner

· Ability to communicate timeliness and to keep children focused

Training and other requirements

· Must pass background and reference checks, and attend volunteer orientation & training prior to start date

· Must complete all Child Abuse Prevention Trainings

· May be asked to sign a Confidentiality Agreement
