Do you want to make a difference is the lives of grieving children? The Medical Team Hospice Children's Grief Camp is in need of volunteers who are willing to "buddy up" with a grieving child for the duration of camp. This is one of Camp TMT's most important roles. A buddy is an adult who attends the camp for the entire event (this is NOT overnight) and is paired with a few children to mentor throughout the camp. A buddy participates in the same activities and provides emotional support to their assigned kids.
Volunteers look forward to this weekend all year long! They feel they really get to know the kids and feel they make a positive impact on their grief journey.
Camp is held at Covenant Hills in Otisville.
