Help support our Operations, New Roots and Immigration teams with administrative duties! Each program is slightly different (duties listed below for each). By helping build capacity in for our staff, volunteers improve the service we provide to clients.
Operations/Donations:
- Maintain organized and precise inventory of donations and distributed furnishings
- Find value of donations & record valuation report in database
- General office duties as required
- Enter rental agreements into database
- Locate and secure in-kind donations of furniture, clothing or household supplies
- Enter monthly workshop attendance sheets into client spreadsheet
- Check emergency food pantry for distributions and entering any distributions into inventory spreadsheet
- Check volunteer hours and entering hours into reporting spreadsheet
Immigration:
- Create digital case files by scanning and saving documents from physical case files
- Check with New Roots team members to ensure timely submission of monthly activity reports and attendance sheets
- Provide support to staff and clients seeking help with immigration and resettlement
- Organize and maintain client case files and perform other administrative functions such as filing, copying, data entry, database managmenet and grant editing assistance
- Support Immigration team members with projects as needed
- Work closely with IRC staff to identify issues with clients case files, applications and communicate any questions and concerns had by clients or staff
- Other activities related to immigration and resettlement as needed

Description
Each year, the IRC provides support to thousands of refugees resettling as well as immigrants and survivors of human trafficking in 29 U.S. cities - including SeaTac and Spokane, WA - through housing assistance, case management and referral services, job readiness and placement, English language training, community and cultural orientation, health and wellness programs, immigration services and other community integration activities.
