ORGANIZATION: Friends of Trees Eugene

Planting Team

Plant trees & make new friends; Join the tree team!

Friends of Trees is seeking new crew leaders for the upcoming planting season (Nov-April)! Space is limited, register early to hold your spot!

As a leader in one of our most important volunteer roles, you will help teach our volunteers how to plant trees and work together as a team. Not only is being a crew leader a great way to meet people and develop valuable leadership skills, you will also have the opportunity to learn more about our community's urban forest!

At our training event you will learn about proper planting techniques, safety protocols, and how to lead a team of volunteers on planting day. You will also receive a coveted Tree Team t-shirt and great food (a hallmark of all of our planting events) as well! During our planting season, we ask that each crew leader commit to guiding small groups of planters at four Saturday morning plantings.

This training will be on Thursday, January 30th from 6 to 8pm.

Thanks for your interest in being a leader for community tree-planting -- we look forward to working with you!
