ORGANIZATION: SAFE HARBOR OF SHEBOYGAN COUNTY INC

JOB SUMMARY: Assists with children's groups and with special activities and outings offered by Safe Harbor. May also assist with child residents at the shelter.

DUTIES:

  • Assist with planning and preparation of group activities and special events
  • Greet children; welcome them to group
  • Direct children to age appropriate activity area; help them to get settled; introduce new children to others
  • Inform children of group rules
  • Engage children in activities
  • Assist children in developing appropriate behaviors (sharing, taking turns, manners, etc.) and coming to non-violent conflict resolutions
  • Assist in snack preparation, serving and clean-up
  • Enlist children to clean up and put away toys and supplies at the end of group
  • Prepare children to leave group in an orderly manner
  • May assist with facilitating school baed support groups
