Habitat’s vision is a world where everyone has a decent, affordable place to live. Thanks to our volunteers, we move closer to that vision every day!
The Women Build is an annual construction project where at least 70% of the volunteers are women. Volunteers will help with home construction tasks, like framing, roofing, painting, and landscaping.
Volunteering to build homes is a fun and rewarding experience. Whether you are an experienced carpenter or have never touched a hammer, we will find a place for you on our construction site! Please remember, this is a real construction site. You’ll be helping us with hard work and you will get dirty. We provide all of the tools and safety equipment that you need. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience - our team is here to teach you!

Beaches Habitat for Humanity is your local Habitat, serving Eastern Duval County including the three Jacksonville Beaches communities. Beaches Habitat operates locally in partnership with Habitat for Humanity International, working toward our shared vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Families and individuals in your community partner with Beaches Habitat to build or improve a place they can call home. Beaches Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Recognizing the importance of education in empowering people to build strength, stability, and independence, Beaches Habitat also offers educational programs to promote academic achievement and excellence among our homeowners and their families. Through financial support, volunteering, and adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families to build better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower.
