Your 70 year old neighbor living with ALS needs help around her 500 square foot apartment. You can make her life easier by cleaning (vacuuming, cleaning the kitchen and bathroom), doing her laundry, and possibly running some errands while you’re out and about (she’ll reimburse you for her purchases).

To discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.


What is ALS?

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.

How does The ALS Association help?

We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
