Are you visiting relatives in our area and looking for something to do? Some of our finest volunteers come from out of state and are with us for one week to a few months. Opportunities will be matched with your skill set and time frame. Opportunities include help in collections, our library and our archive, as well as support in our office and retail area. We are currently expanding our Social Media and web presence, and are always in need of help with new content such as videos, samples, editing, research, etc.

To preserve the art of lace making, to exhibit lace and its historical use and to offer instruction in all facets of lace making.
Description
The Lace Museum is a small, all-volunteer museum located in Fremont, California. It has permanent and rotating exhibits of lace and lace making tools. Tours are offered for individuals and small groups. The collections are comprised of over 10,000 pieces of lace, lace making tools, ephemera, a library and an archive. Workshops are given both in person and virtually for beginning to experienced lace makers with teachers from around the globe. The museum supports itself through teaching, lecturing, online sales and offsite sales events.
