Job Role: The Outreach Specialist removes the barriers to safety and support services by reaching out to our clients and to stakeholders in their own communities, building and maintaining positive relationships between NMNM and the people we serve. The Outreach Specialist understands the needs of survivors of domestic violence and is effective in communicating information regarding support services to clients while preserving client safety and client dignity.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Knowledge of the programs and services at NMNM
- Conduct client-population research
- In collaboration with program officer, conduct 4 community outreach visits
- Connect 8-14 clients with services
- Bi-weekly follow up with volunteer coordinator, or as needed
Time Required: 5 hrs./week
Duration: 12 weeks
Minimum Qualifications and Abilities:
- Must pass background check
- Complete 3 hours of program training
- Excellent verbal communication
- Active and empathetic listener
- Ability to follow written/oral instructions
- Access to reliable transportation
- Basic data entry ability
Fluency in a language in addition to English is a plus
Program Requirements and Training:
- 1 hr. orientation session
- 1 hr. Outreach Training (Safety, Sensitivity/Empathy, Building relationships)
- 1 hr. data entry training and program tools/services
Outreach Specialists will develop communication and public relations skills and gain experience working with diverse, vulnerable populations.
Evaluation: Outreach Specialist will meet with program officer and volunteer coordinator at the end of 12-week period for performance review.

Founded in 2010 by and for historically underserved and marginalized community members, No More, No Más rises to the needs of safety and well-being of women and youth in the greater Travis County area. We empower survivors and stand with them in breaking the silence of domestic violence, sexual assault, and substance abuse. Our client-centered services include:
