Every Child’s Junior Board is a growing group of young professionals and students in their 20s and 30s who are passionate about Every Child’s mission. The Junior Board supports this mission through a number of volunteer and fundraising projects around Every Child’s work: community based structural family therapy; foster care and adoption; in-home family preservation; medically related wraparound; and caregiver support.
The Junior Board plays a strategic role in developing awareness of Every Child’s programs, and providing opportunities for Every Child’s growth by leveraging social media, events, and individual fundraising to support overall goals. Junior Board members have the opportunity to create, plan, and participate in service activities (volunteer days, awareness activities); help plan and host fundraising events (happy hours, crowd-funding campaigns); and interact with Every Child staff and Board of Directors.
We are currently recruiting for the Junior Board of Directors! You can find the application here. We will be accepting applications till April 30, 2021.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
About Every Child, Inc.
1425 Forbes Avenue Suite 300, Suite 300, Pittsburgh, PA 15219, US
Every Child develops, preserves, and strengthens the relationships to family and community that are essential to every child’s growth and development through child-focused, family-driven services.
Every Child, Inc. was founded in 1997 by Susan Davis on the belief that all children, no matter their age, race, disability, or special health care need, deserve the opportunity to grow up with a loving and lasting family. Initially focused on providing care and support for foster children with significant medical needs, Every Child has broadened our services to provide foster care and adoption services as well as clinical and therapeutic care to children and families across Southwestern Pennsylvania. Every year, Every Child transforms the lives of over 1,500 children and family members through our programs and services. Our clinicians and therapists strive to empower families to build the skills and find the strength to stay together. Our primary goal is to prevent children from being removed from their family of birth. If that is not possible, or if a child has already been removed from the home, we work to place children in safe, nurturing temporary homes and give birth families the inspiration, tools and support to be reunited with their children. For children whose birth families are unable to care for them safely, we find loving, permanent homes. We provide therapeutic support and social services through eight programs, and many families spend time in more than one program, depending upon the needs of the family and the children. The hard work of our families and staff to create safe, nurturing home environments enables children to have bright futures and strengthens our communities in ways that impact us all.
