CREATIVE opportunity for writers and historians!

This project is a combination of interview and research with the purpose to record specific stories from a person's life and weave that narrative with historical information to make a legacy book.

Unity Hospice cares for individuals with life-limiting illness in the Greater St. Louis and southern Illinois areas. You can learn more about Unity Hospice at www.unityhospice.com . One of our newer initiatives focuses on the collaboration of patients, families/loved ones, and historical events. By utilizing interviews and research, recorders will be able to write and assemble a legacy work of either a significant event or collection of short stories as experienced by the hospice patient. How the final product will look is largely up to the recorder and they are welcome to take a creative approach. We will print and bind these works in a copy to be given to the patient or loved ones.

There will be no cost to volunteers and Unity Hospice will provide all necessary materials from beginning to end. Volunteers will need to go through basic background safety checks and sign confidentiality agreements in accordance with HIPPA guidelines and company policies.
