With the growing number of senior citizens in Dallas county, there is a huge need for services for this special population. Wilkinson Center's Senior Lunch & Learn program gathers seniors together on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month to give them a free meal and a presentation on a topic of interest (navigating Medicare, exercise, budgeting, technology, etc.).
We need regular volunteers to help serve the seniors lunch and help with the activities from 12:30 to 2:30 PM on Lunch days. Additionally, we need one-time or occasional volunteers who can present a topic of interest to our seniors. This is a great, laid-back volunteer opportunity where you can make a difference in the lives of senior citizens.

The Wilkinson Center is building the community by providing help and hope to people in need. We do this by offering a food pantry, job assistance center, GED and continuing education classes, emergency assistance, case management, and programs meeting the needs of children.
