Are you interested in learning more about dementia and memory loss? In this role, you'll provide support to our 2nd Half with Lyngblomsten Community Services staff at educational presentations in the community. This includes two programs, "Becoming a Dementia-Friendly Faith Community" and "The Healthy Brain."

You'll set up an attractive and well-organized display and check-in attendees. After the presentation, you'll help with tear-down and packing up display materials. Program presentations will be on the following dates/locations:

The Healthy Brain:

  • April 16, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM, The Grove United Methodist Church, Woodbury
  • May 13, 9:30 AM - 12:30PM, St. John in the Wilderness Episcopal Church, White Bear Lake

Becoming a Dementia-Friendly Faith Community

  • October 9, 9:30 AM - 12:30PM, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Circle Pines

Lyngblomsten provides compassionate care to older adults through residential and community services. Volunteers of all ages are welcomed to explore over 100 unique and varied opportunities. While short-term options may be available periodically, we encourage longer-term commitments given the exceptional level of orientation, training and on-going education Lyngblomsten provides in support of its volunteers.
