Mint Artists tent
Mint Artists sell their work at the Palmer Park Art Fair.

We are seeking volunteers who like children and crafts.

Our teen artists will show and sell their work during the Palmer Park Art Fair - and Mint also runs anarts and crafts activity. That is where we need your help, to help children with the crafts and coloring pages.

The crafts are planned and art supplies purchased, so all you do is show up with a smile and a helpful attitude.

You may also be asked to help with selling Mint greeting cards or watch a young artists table for 15 minutes but your main assignment is the crafts, which are already planned and there for families to enjoy.

Volunteers help out in two- or three-hour shifts, so please let us know which you prefer and if you want specific hours.

Thank you!

About MINT ARTISTS GUILD

Location:

PO Box 21667, Detroit, MI 48221, US

Mission Statement

Mint Artists Guild helps to transform aspiring Detroit youth artists through education, exceptional engagement and experience, resulting in earning opportunities, skill-building, exposure, and mentoring. Mint launches creative careers and lasting connections. Mint also infuses the community with art and creative experiences, enhancing a collaborative, healthy and generous culture.

Description

Mint works with artists ages 13 to 23 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists. In 2020, we launched the Metro Detroit Youth Arts Competition, a creative activity kit giveaway (of 5,500 kits) and in 2021, we launched leadership development training. This year, we are working on an alumni engagement program, adding creative jobs to our website and so much more. We need your help and support to continue our growth!
