Mission Statement

To give comfort and support to burn survivors and their families by providing resources that ease the burdens that often come with the tragedy of a burn injury.

Description

Scars Uncovered is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded by a burn survivor in November 2014 with an understanding of the journey that encompasses coping with a burn injury. Our goal is to equip burn survivors and their families with the tools and resources needed to promote an atmosphere of hope, comfort, healing, and support.

We continuously strive to partner with survivors, as they overcome the effects of, at times, tragic burn injuries. We want to ensure survivors know they are not alone during this journey.

Scars Uncovered wants to be a beacon of hope and inspiration through personal testimonies and stories of perseverance and strength. Our ultimate goal therefore is that the services we provide to each individual and their families conveys our mission of love, support, hope, communal healing, and awareness through outreach.
