During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Wider Horizons, Central Seattle's Village for Life
We are a virtual community of people living in Central Seattle, helping each other age gracefully. We each live in our own places but get together for activities, fun, education. We also help when needed -- with rides, health advocacy, and the like. With only 85 members, we can't always meet our members' needs and desires ourselves and, hence, reach out to Volunteer Match.
In this case, one of our members who used to be a robust dancer had exposure to strong chemicals that weakened her. She enjoys walking with anyone who can be fragrance-free, though her pace is moderate to slow. She is a docent at the Japanese Garden in the Arboretum, lives very near there, and particularly likes to walk in the Arboretum (about which she is very knowledgeable). She is a lively conversationalist.

Wider Horizons' mission is to enable older residents of Central Seattle to participate in an intergenerational community that shares knowledge, experience and services with each other so living is easier and more joyful.
Wider Horizons does this by providing, vetting, and recommending resources to adults so they can remain in their own homes for as along as they choose. We offer members a harmonious blend of health and in-home services, shared social and cultural activities, and community engagement--all designed to foster belonging, security and contribution.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
