Position Summary: INSPIRE seeks dedicated and responsible academic tutors to assist immigrant and refugee students with homework during afterschool hours as a Family Tutor or Math Tutor.
Qualifications:
- Experience with and/or interest in working with youth
- Availability during afterschool hours
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience useful, but not required
- Commitment to working with diverse populations and non-native English speakers
- Time Commitment: Volunteers must commit to working a minimum of 1-2 hours per week for at least 8 weeks for each term.
- Age Requirement: 18 and over
Family Tutor:
We are seeking a Vietnamese speaking volunteer tutor needed to assist two students (2 nd and 4 th grade) with homework.
Math Tutor:
We are seeking a volunteer tutor to assist with math homework with Elementary School students on Thursdays from 3:30-4:30PM.
Both volunteer roles are remote/virtual opportunities to tutor and mentor youth while supporting their academic success.
