CALLING ALL LOCAL GROUPS, ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS - Rally your troops and come out to support the troops and local runners!
The second annual Skyway 10K is taking place on Sunday, March 1st, 2020. We are expecting close to 8,000 runners and walkers of all levels will have the opportunity to cross over the span of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.
In order to produce a race that has 100% of all proceeds benefiting the Armed Forces Families Foundation, we rely on our local community to come together and volunteer. The annual Skyway 10K will be a salute to military families and a premiere bridge run event for years to come. The Armed Forces Families Foundation (AFFF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that utilizes 100% of all proceeds from the Skyway 10K for the benefit of our military and their families through infrastructure projects in our communities.
This is a huge opportunity to visibly support your local community and runners through volunteering! We have over 500 volunteer positions throughout the weekend and would love for your and your team or group to join us.
Volunteers will be assembling bibs and packets for athletes to pick up at registration over the weekend.

Mission Statement
The Armed Forces Families Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of volunteers from many communities across the United States. Our commitment has led to the completion of multiple projects that will benefit the families of our service men and women for years to come. Our focus is primarily on areas of significant need which often fall outside the tight budget constraints of the military and its family support organizations. All funds remain local so donors can see their dollars at work.
Description
The Armed Forces Families Foundation was founded with the intent to provide and care for those who care for our freedom. Our Managing Director and organization believe that this is best accomplished by directly giving support to military families. All coordination and services are provided for by a dedicated group of passionate volunteers. Very few charitable organizations are able to successfully operate under these parameters; the success of our Foundation is the result of the amazing work done by our inspired volunteers and leadership team.
