A Window Between Worlds (AWBW) , a local non profit based in Venice, is dedicated to empowering those who have been impacted by violence and trauma through a transformative healing arts program. AWBW is currently in need of volunteers to help with a variety of administrative tasks.
Some of the tasks include:
- Data entry
- Electronic/paper evaluation entry
- Working with fundraising software
- Filing, copying, organizing
- Stuffing envelopes, assembling packages
Training and Supervision: All new volunteers will receive an orientation and training on programs used by Whitney Romberg ( wromberg@awbw.org)

To empower individuals and communities impacted by violence and trauma through a transformative healing arts program.
Description
Seven out of 10 people experience some form of trauma in their lifetimes, and the A Window Between Words (AWBW) arts program is a powerful way to process and cope with these experiences. Creating art can be a catalyst to release trauma, build resilience and ignite social change. It allows for self-expression without the need for words, and often participants gain insights into their lives during AWBW workshops, as well as find new ways to communicate and connect with themselves and others. Since its founding in 1991, more than a quarter million adults and children have participated in AWBW art workshops. To provide these workshops to the community, AWBW collaborates with over 200 shelters, outreach centers, schools and other organizations across the country.

- Must be at least 16
- Flexible, anytime AWBW office is open from 9am-6pm Monday-Friday. At least once a week preferred, but can accommodate different schedules.
