ORGANIZATION: TCV Food Bank + Mobile Pantry (Tri-City Volunteers)

TCV Food Bank

TCV has weekly volunteer shifts available at our Homeless Bag Lunch Counter that need to be filled. TCV hands out over 40 homeless lunches each day and volunteers ensure that every client gets access to our food. The lunch counter provides pre-cooked meals and a bag of nonperishable food items to individuals who are unsheltered. The Homeless Bag Lunch Counter is open Monday-Thursday from 12pm-4pm and Fridays 9:30am-12:30pm.

We have volunteer shifts available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12pm-2pm and Wednesdays from 2pm-4pm. You are welcome to sign up weekly, biweekly, or for individual shifts as it fits your schedule

This is an essential meal to our clients and we need help to make it happen.

Volunteer Orientation: Come join and start making a difference right away! Our Volunteer Orientations are hosted every Wednesday at 10am and Thursday at 1pm. Orientation is only 30-40 minutes long. You can enter the door with the sign above that reads "Community Pantry". Let the person at the front counter know you are here for volunteer orientation and they’ll get you set up. Please be sure you are on time or even 10 minutes earlier than the start of orientation.

Setting a Volunteer Shift: Our shifts are flexible and we work with your schedule! Volunteers are welcome to immediately volunteer with TCV following orientation. We request volunteers notify the Volunteer Coordinator 24 hours in advance for any volunteer shifts or cancellations and work a minimum two hour shift.

Parking: Please park in the Tree of Life Church parking lot at the corner of Peralta and Maple, 4140 Peralta Blvd, Fremont. Our site is located next door and you will need to walk around the long fence up towards Peralta Blvd. We are situated behind the Quality Auto shop.

High School Student Volunteering: During vacation periods, such as Spring Break, we take students on a first come, first served basis and shifts have a maximum number of volunteers we can accommodate.

Age Requirements: Minors must have parental consent to work at the food bank. Those under 16 must also be accompanied by a parent/chaperone over the age of 18 at all times. We do not allow volunteers under the age of 13 years old.
