Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) will be holding a swim clinic for individuals who are blind and visually impaired at the Washington State School for the Blind. We are looking for volunteers with a background in either life guarding, teaching swimming, or both! We have both adults and children throughout the area that come to these clinics. We are hoping to have a few extra hands to teach some basic skills to the athletes.

When individuals with visual impairments experience sports and recreation they have more self-confidence and open up to the possibility that they really can pursue their dreams in both sports and life. Our athletes leave behind sedentary isolated lives and they gain skills, confidence and joy.
