Maidstone State Park, Vermont's most remote state park, has a season-long volunteer opportunity. The park is located in two parcels on beautiful Maidstone Lake. The large, clear lake is ringed by seasonal camps. The park operates a day use area with sandy beach and picnic pavilion on the eastern shore. A campground with campsites and lean-to's is located one mile south. The lake is known for large lake trout, and the expansive forest in the area offers many opportunities for brook trout fishing, hiking and exploring.
The campsite offers full hookups (30 amp electric) and is directly adjacent to a public bathroom in the campground.
Duties vary by park, and will be assigned after arrival by the Park Manager, who will supervise the volunteers.

Description
Vermont State Parks was founded in 1924 and provided developed and dispersed recreational experiences in over 55 locations throughout Vermont. We operate campgrounds and beaches, hiking and biking trails, nature centers and school programs, rent boats and provide places for people to run, hike, ski, snowshoe, relax and enjoy nature year-round.
