Purpose: To serve as a representative of the Briscoe Western Art Museum during the 2020 Night of Artists Art Sale. You will answer general questions, assist guests in the bidding process, monitor and keep time on bidding periods, and assist to execute the sale of exhibited artwork.
When: Saturday, March 28, 2020 from 4:30 to 9:00pm
In addition, volunteers must attend one of the following required training sessions:
- Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 10:30am
- Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at 6:00pm
Where: The Jack Guenther Pavilion at the Briscoe Western Art Museum

Parking: Complimentary parking is available for both the training session and Art Sale. Details on parking will be provided in early March.
Attire: Business/Western. Please wear comfortable shoes, as you will be standing for a minimum of 3 hours. You will be responsible for keeping time, so it is critical that you wear a watch. All volunteers are required to wear the provided name badge. Do not
Perks: The Briscoe Museum will provide food and beverage before the event. You will be among the first to see the exhibition and you are invited to join the festivities after you are released from your volunteer duties. We are also happy to provide a certificate for community service hours for those that are interested.

The Night of Artists is the premier event at the Briscoe Western Art Museum. Volunteers directly contribute to the success of our special events. The Night of Artists Exhibition and Sale showcases 280 works by nearly 80 of the country’s top Western Artists. Visit the Briscoe Western Art Museum along the iconic San Antonio River Walk and experience the remarkable talent of the very best of the best in Western Art.

Description
The Briscoe Western Art Museum showcases historic and contemporary art and artifacts that highlight the American West. The Museum is housed in San Antonio's 1930's central library building, beautifully restored to its original glory. Vaquero, American Indian, and Cowboy narratives come to life through painting sculpture, photography, and exquisitely crafted artifacts.
