Welcome to the Jeremiah Program!
Jeremiah Program offers one of the nation’s most successful strategies for transforming families from poverty to prosperity two generations at a time. Jeremiah prepares determined single mothers to excel in the workforce, readies their children to succeed in school, and reduces generational dependence on public assistance.
Position Description:
Cook for Kids volunteers will plan, purchase and prepare a warm meal for 10 - 15 residents and drop it off at our campus each week based on the shift that is assigned. Preparing a meal for our families is a wonderful way to build an enriching community at Jeremiah Program. Lovingly prepared meals not only provide nutrition but also, create the foundation for great conversations and connections. Sharing a meal is where community starts and we look forward to having you be a part of that!
Time Commitment:
January - April
We have three different shifts each week that are available - volunteers can sign up for just one or several a month.
The shifts are:
Tuesdays - Drop off at 4:00 pm
Wednesday - Drop off at 10:00 am
Wednesday - Drop off at 4:00 pm
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum 12 years of age volunteering with a parent or guardian
Attend general one hour volunteer orientation with Volunteer Coordinator
Love to cook and be creative with meals!

Jeremiah Program is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization using a proven, holistic approach to transform families from poverty to prosperity.
Jeremiah Program has a campus that houses 35 families, with a child development center on the bottom floor. We offer safe and affordable housing, quality early childhood education, Empowerment and Life Skills training, support for a career track college education, and a supportive community.
