Responsibilities
* Assist with event set-up which may include setting up chairs and tables, hanging decorations, cleaning the
space, and setting up basic equipment
* Assist with clean-up after an event which may include sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning tables,
removing decorations, and putting chairs and tables away
* Mow lawns, trim shrubbery, plant flowers, and apply pesticides
* Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
* Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and
checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
* Check and monitor the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
* Move heavy equipment and furniture
* Replace light bulbs
* Paint as needed
* Use tools and equipment to perform basic building repairs
* Steam floors and clean carpets

Qualifications:

* Broad understanding of the American Red Cross and its opportunities for service.
* Previous facilities and maintenance experience or knowledge of basics

*Able to complete walk throughs and inspect and test various features including electrical, plumbing, devices and physical features noting those items in disrepair.

*Able to recognize the needed repair and complete repairs.
