Shopper Volunteer

URGENT NEED! WE HAVE A WAIT LIST OF FOLKS NEEDING SHOPPING ASSISTANCE!

Getting groceries. Picking up a couple things at the store. Running errands. Pretty ordinary chores that we all have to do. Imagine taking care of these responsibilities if you were blind or visually impaired.

Now imagine helping someone accomplish these things! Become a Shopper Volunteer with Vision Loss Resources. Drive and escort a blind or visually-impaired client to local grocery stores or other stores and help them select items. You can make such a HUGE difference in their lives.

Orientation, training, and on-going support are provided. Scheduling is flexible. Clients live throughout the Twin Cities. We will work with you to match you with a client near your home. On call or on-going schedules available. You can volunteer with a friend, or members of your small group can volunteer in rotation.

We offer our volunteers mileage reimbursement (set amount per mile) for our volunteers who drive with our participants. Inquire for more details!

Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required. Our paperwork includes successful completion of no-cost background check and application.
