Please visit the new page to apply.
Shivering and in shock, your neighbor and her kids are standing out in the street, watching firefighters battle the blaze that has consumed their home. They have nothing but the clothes on their backs. It is the middle of the night, on the worst night of their lives. Fortunately, someone kind, compassionate and prepared is on the way to offer comfort, a warm blanket, a drink of water, a safe place to stay and rest. That someone is YOU, because you have joined the Red Cross Disaster Action Team! The Red Cross provides all the free training you need to be prepared to answer the call, and we are building disaster teams in every county in Western Illinois, Scott and Muscatine Counties in Iowa, and the counties of Northeast Missouri. You could apply as a new volunteer today, and get started on your online training by next week. Make a real difference in your home town and beyond.
